Hidup yang terpelihara ( Life maintained)

TITUS 1:1-4
 “Dari Paulus, hamba Allah dan rasul Yesus Kristus untuk memelihara iman orang-orang pilihan Allah dan pengetahuan akan kebenaran seperti yang nampak dalam ibadah kita” (ayat 1).  Sama seperti surat nya kepada Timotius, surat Paulus kepada Titus juga bersifat sebagai surat penggembalaan. Jika Timotius mengurus jemaat di Efesus, kepada Titus dipercayakan untuk mengatur jemaat di Kreta. Sebagai hamba Allah dan rasul Yesus Kristus, Paulus merasa berkewajiban untuk memeliharakan iman orang-orang pilihan . Surat-surat yang ia kirimkan kepada jemaat-jemaat adalah salah satu upayanya untuk memelihara iman orang-orang pilihan. Dan bukan hanya memeliharakan iman, tapi juga pengetahuan jemaat akan kebenaran juga harus terpelihara dengan baik. Kebenaran yang dimaksud adalah kebenaran yang berdasar kan akan pengharapan akan hidup yang kekal seperti yang sudah dijanjikan Allah sebelum permulaan zaman dan yang telah dinyatakan-Nya melalui berita Injil yang diberitakan juga oleh Paulus atas perintah Allah. Sama seperti semua suratnya yang lain, Paulus selalu membuka suratnya dengan salam yang penuh berkat. Salah satu tugas hamba  Tuhan adalah memelihara iman jemaat. Pemeliharaan itu sendiri dapat melalui doa-doanya, melalui ibadah dan penyampaian firman dan juga perhatian dalam berbagai bentuk praktis lainnya. Sementara jemaat sendiri akan benar-benar terpelihara imannya jika ia juga mau hidup dalam penggembalaan. Adalah hal yang aneh bila seorang mau terpelihara imannya tapi ia sendiri tidak mau hidup dengan tertib, tidak loyal terhadap penggembalaan. Jemaat harus menyadari bahwa gembala dalam suatu penggembalaan itu berfungsi seperti salah satu tudung dalam Tabernakel, melindungi dan memelihara iman jemaat. Pemimpin yang tahu fungsinya dan jemaat yang mengerti tanggungjawabnya akan menghasilkan pemeliharaan iman yang optimal (Ibrani 13:17).

KEMBALILAH KEPADA GEMBALA DAN PEMELIHARA JIWAMU.

Titus 1:1-4
“From Paul, the servant of God and apostle of Jesus Christ to keep the faith God’s chosen people, and knowledge of the truth as it appears in our worship” (paragraph 1). Just like his letter to Timothy, Paul’s letter to Titus is also a pastoral letter. If you take care of the church in Ephesus, Timothy, to Titus was entrusted to organize the church in Crete. As a servant of God and apostle of Jesus Christ, Paul felt obligated to keep the faith of those options. The letters he sent to the churches is one of its efforts to maintain the faith of those options. And not only kept the faith, but also knowledge of the truth of the church will also be well maintained. Truth is truth which is based on the expectation of life will be eternal as God had promised before the beginning of the era and which had declared him through the Gospel message preached by Paul is also on the orders of God. Just like all the other letters, Paul opened his letter with the greeting is always full of blessings. One task is to maintain the faith of a servant of God congregation. Maintenance itself can through his prayers, through worship and communicating the Word and is also concern in many other practical shape. While the church itself will actually maintained his faith if he also wanted to live in the pastorate. It is a strange thing when a willing maintained his faith but he himself did not want to live with the orderly, not loyal to their grazing. The church must realize that the shepherds in a pastoral one that functions like a veil in the Tabernacle, protect and maintain the faith of the church. Leaders who know the community who understand the function and responsibilities will result in optimal maintenance of the faith (Hebrews 13:17).
